Dr. Johann Ohly
Dr. Ohly graduated with Honors from the University of Chicago, where he was awarded the Putzel Prize for Exceptional Promise as a Future Physician. He received his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. After his internship at Northwestern University, Dr. Ohly received his ophthalmology training at Loyola University Medical Center and Hines Veterans Administration Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Ohly then completed a glaucoma fellowship at University Eye Specialists with eminent glaucoma scholar, Theodore Krupin.
Dr. Ohly is a member of several professional medical organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Glaucoma Society. Dr. Ohly specializes in glaucoma diagnosis and medical, laser, and surgical treatments for glaucoma. He also performs micro-incision cataract surgery.
He and his wife, Anna, have three children, Oscar, Theodore, and Lucia. Dr. Ohly is an accomplished cellist and enjoys barbecuing, biking and fly-fishing. |
