Dr. Kevin Skelsey
Dr. Skelsey completed his 8 years of medical education in Dallas. He attended medical school at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and completed an internship in internal medicine at Presbyterian Hospital prior to starting his ophthalmology training. While in medical school, he served as a student teacher of Anatomy and Cellular Biology. During his studies at Trinity University, Dr. Skelsey graduated Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Skelsey received his ophthalmology training at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Kevin Skelsey joined Silverstein Eye Centers from Topeka, Kansas where he practiced as a comprehensive ophthalmologist.
A board certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Skelsey is a member of several professional organizations including the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Kansas City Society of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology. Dr. Skelsey provides a wide range of medical and surgical eye care, including cataract and premium lens implant surgeries, (LASIK) laser vision correction, research, cosmetic and general ophthalmology.
Dr. Skelsey and his wife Molly, a PhD in immunology, have two children, a daughter Ella, and a son Nolan. They enjoy outdoor activities such as backpacking, camping, fishing, running, golf, and spending time together as a family. |
